Today is tues.

It’s the 2^nd day of my hols. Haha. The good news is so far I’ve not started talking 2 walls or plants or any form of paku-pakis yet. Lol. The bad news is its ALReady TUESday… groans.. (yes I admit I’m a terrible student who complains about not having enuf hols whn my frens in USM n UNIMAS are slaving away with weekly tests muahaha)

Pushing aside the fact that I was entertained by certain individuals who couldn’t help broadcasting their voices thru the loudspeakers from 7.30pm-12.30am on thurs nite whn I was trying 2 study for my formative on fri morn….. (that I actually set my foot in the pustaka – my hostel’s library whr another group of intellectual individuals decided that the library is a place for social exchange.. n with combination of these 2 factors I decided 2 go 2 sleep at 11.00pm n cont studying early next morn instead.. which 2 an irony I got this msg the next morn from Cher Linn –my debate senior: ….I’m sure u all are burning midnite oil now 4 formative tmr bt make sure u get enuf sleep… -heh heh. I burned midnite oil in dreamland) anw… I shall relieve u on more enlightening things I did AFTER formative. lol.

A few very random things:

1) The rise of Bimbo & Lala revolution. Now they even hav their own label!! A streak of genius whr they create a chic upfront for themselves using twisted vocabulary.

12) It is a msian culture to line up at bus stands when awaiting their turn to board the bus. Even if it is 7.30am, the queue is >30m long, class starts at 8am, and there is no sign of the bus.

with that, I conclude that msia is indeed a place like no other. Lol.. Jom Heboh Sempena Tahun Melawat Msia 2008!

- I miss going on9 from my room… (another post typed offline n now dat I’m done typing, sooooo lazy 2 go 2 the café whr there’s internet connection 2 upload this post… *groans…)

- What I did after assessment:

Fri: walked to faculty, went 2 Pavillion 4 lunch, Times Square to jalan, Titiwangsa McD for dinner w debaters, ping peng’s room 2 chat.

Sat: khidmat masy class, debate prac in Bangi, dinner at Titiwangsa Mcd (again lol), Cher Linn’s room for Gossip Girl’s marathon. Hehe.

Sun: Hope church, debate prac in KT-my hostel, captain ball w CF, dinner at seafood restaurant compliments from FGA CG leaders (thank you!!), watched half of Batman n Wall-e in my room w Qian Yi.

Mon: Times Square for lunch, movie, Petaling Street for dinner, mar-jie’s place for the night whr I reunited w Peeg my evil godchild. Lol.

Tues: had the best breakfast ever at Mar-jie’s house punya nearby coffee shop w compliments to MJ’s dad (thank you also!!), had a roller coaster ride in MJ’s car (grin), Wan Utama, roller coaster ride 2 in MJ’s car, bus ride n monorail ride back 2 fac n KT, n here I am. J

Let’s hope the word ‘study’ n ‘did lab report’ appears in my schedule for the next few days.. hehe.

Good morning…..

N this is an offline post. Its 3am, n I’m writing this from
my room on my bed with my laptop running on batt cz… no electricity/ *GROANS*

So I shall start complaining now while recalling past events
in apparently these few days (which also constitutes of a series unfortunate
events n more complains wahaha)

The only light source available in the whole college is the
emergency light that’s directly outside my room. Other than that its pitch
black n mosquitoes r attacking like crazy. N its like a sauna in here. Reason
I’m awake… sigh. N cant go on9 not a single signal frm my room.

Well apparently this wk there has bn more solats being
broadcasted throughout college at least 10 times a day. Each period is like 30
mins. So u can imagine the impact it had on me. LOL. Cant elaborate further.
Dun wana get in2 trouble.

Went 2 midvalley 2 meet manda tan on fri afternn. Lol. In
the end met tim n Jason 4 lunch s well. 1^st time seeing Jason so
pissed off. Ahaha. We were at Nando’s it took them nearly 1 hour 2 get the
‘fast food’ ready. N the service was 0.1 star. Lol. Whn Jason gets pissed off
it means its serious. Lol. N manda msged to say she ‘checked in’ oredi. N I tot
she checked in at the airport. Padahal she meant she checked into cititel at midvalley.
So she was in MV shopping while waiting 4 me n we were at Nando’s eating n
waiting 4 her. Thank God she called at 3 sth or I tink I’d nvr even meet her
dat afternn thinking she’s stil at the AIRport.. Alicia joined s well. J
nice reunion. Hehe. N ltr laura joined.

*n mosquitoes cont 2 attack…. Contemplating of getting a
battery operated high speed fan 4 my room in case of further blackouts… or
maybe I shud just buy my own generator.

That evening my journey back frm MV 2 college took me THREE
hours. Yeah the roads were that BADLY jammed.. lol. No. it was the BUS.
(ironically whn I said the 1 thing I like bout KL is the public transport. I
change my mind….) the journey frm MV 2 KLCC took at least 40 mins. Well yeah
nvm. The next one hour plus was spent waiting for a B114 to appear at the KLCC
bus stop. Well yeah one appeared 30 mins ltr bt it drove past at 100km/h (with me waving like mad person by the road
side n eventually running after it bt obviously 2 no avail lo) dunno whether 2
laf or cry dat time. Lol. After dat well yeah no B114 for the next more than 1
hour (n it was dark redi n raining n I was alone at the bus stop with a few
freaky looking guys goofing ard) so I gave up on B114 n took a cab. Wait let me
rephrase dat. That I gave up n decided 2 try 2 find a cab. Apparently most cabs
dun wana go 2 Tasik Titiwangsa area cz its ‘jammed’. (like which part of KL
isnt jammed anw) in the end I got 1 that charged me cut throat price (which I
will not state here for the namesake of taxi drivers in KL – rite…..) I vow nvr
2 take public bus again.. (unless the only choice left is walking in the dark)

So yeah its Merdeka celeb yesterday. Prayed for the country
in church, received an SMS that said ‘Salam sejahtera dari Gabungan Mahasiswa
etc.. Selamat Hari Merdeka …. Do not commit any immoral acts … ‘ Lol. N
practically all the radio stations were belting the latest Merdeka Hits. Yeah.

So well I guess I shall try 2 get sum sleep now.. sigh. *the
mozzies r stil attacking…

Signing off – life of a Swakian med student staying in
college hostel in public uni..

(so far this is the most torturing part of staying here in
this 2 months. Other than that its pretty good except for exceptionally oily,
salty, over-MSG-ed, over/undercooked food at the café. :S )  

OMG God answered my prayers!!!!!! Hallelujah the electricity
is back!!!! Praise the Lord!!

owh owh n here is Peeg (my evil god-child. LOL) with his evil owner (Mar-jie) who left UKM bout 1 wk plus ago *sobs* (mar-jie i mean i miss Peeg not u hahahaha)

few notes.. (typing asap cz mozzies r attacking me like i’m the last person on earth)

1. study schedule dis wk has bn okay.. stil manage 2 prestudy lectures n avoid the 1-hour-of-blurness during lectures..

2. pbl sessions r stil kinda torturing.

3. ppd sessions (profesional n personal development) r crappy tho fun bt at least not torturing.

4. the lecturer did not take attendance during zt (tamadun islam) 2day. crapp…… lol.

5. i measured ppl’s blood pressure, fat level, BMI n did blood tests at the Hang Tuah monorail last sat morn. fun!! hahahhah.. i mite hav given out a few inaccurate results… i’m not sure exactly.. heheh. met a Kch-ite, philipino, identical twins, sabahans,etc. fun experience!

6. Mar-jie left dis morn.. the debaters farewelled her on mon. haha. mar-jie treated us DONUTS!! *basking in eternal happiness* i was on donut crave for the past 1 wk for dunno wadsoever reasons… UNTIL i read wad wye li wrote on mar-jie’s wall 2day… she said they churn the donuts in oil over n over again til they’re golden brown.. UGHHH….. the very tot of oil-saoking donuts turns any1 off i tink… at least it turned me off.. LOL. i dun tink i wana lay my fingers on a single donut at least in a few months again. LOL. speaking on dat, i tink wye li has super-influential powers. she managed 2 persuade mar-jie 2 change her mind twice in a day (totally contrasting decisions summore) gosh… owh n now mar-jie has a new pet called Peeg. its a stuffed black sheep that symbolizes the evil beneath the innocent looking exterior. will past up pic whn free-er. hehe.

7. crys is stopping by kl dis wkend!!!! YAY!!!!!!! cant wait cant wait cant wait.. wait, crys, i mean i cant wait 2 meet nicole, not u. muahaha.. n i’m actually starting 2 plan my sept hols (whn its only august.. LOL)

8. n i need 2 stop thinking too much n stop the mood swings. gaahhhh….

ok after  a backlog of activities, i’m back. muahahha.. lots of issues!

1. i’m not even suppose 2 be here now. heh heh. apparently self declared a holiday 4 myself. well if u had to go 4 a 3 hour class where all u do is spend time trying 2 block out the lecturer’s voice n concentrate on studying/listening 2 music/any other activity dats do-able in the lecture hall, u wud self declare ur hol s well. in last wed’s class i succeeded 80% in blocking out the 100dB 2000Hz. till my name was mis-pronounced whn attendance was taken. ===> SU ZU VIN! *raises hand* (was reli tempted 2 walk out n zhaooo after my attendance was taken..)
another similar situation wud be the khidmat masy class (11am-2pm - supposedly) on sat morn. 1stly the time is weird. 2ndly, 25% of the class nvr make it 2 class 4 various reasons.. leavng the 1)kuai locals (kl ppl) 2)east msians 3) west msians frm penang, kel,-a bit far 2 travel home 4 wkend 2 attend class. 3rdly, the lecturer lectures for 1 hour n then gives a 10 min break. so hehhe, wad happened in the previous class, we went out 4 a short break at sum ice kacang stall, n kok joo ate sooooo slowly so we had NOooo choice bt 2 wait 4 him out of friendship goodwill so we arrived back in class after 45 mins of break. lol. after 10 mins, the class ended. (at 1pm). interesting way 2 spend time…

2. debate finals. hahahhahah… well well well… my team sustained our ‘undefeated’ streak bt shalisha’s team reli gave us a tough match. the debate that afternn was a reli bad, below average debate. lol. i screwed up my opposition leader’s speech (was feeling sick b4 the debate, as in mentally n emotionally sick lol) qian yi saved us by giving a gud deputy oppo speech, john managed 2 save wad was left in his rebuttal speech. then i gave a so-so reply speech which was trashed by shalisha’s mind-swinging (apologies 4 the lack of accuracy in word usage here hehe) reply speech. gosh. at the end of the debate it was like, RELIEF its over, but know we will lose or sth. mana tahu we won. so well i praise God 4 it. tho shalisha’s team reli did well dat day. :)

9.15am: uh oh. 1st ques oso had 2 tembak. lol.
10am: GAH!!! assessment over. on 2 DEBATE preparation!!! (panicks cz debate starts at 2pm while the ideas r stil all over the place..)
11am: feels sick.
12pm: stop preparation n wait 4 bus 2 bangi. was pretty down cz apparently while ev1 was rejoicing exam’s over my mind was stil whirring over how 2 rebut oppo, how 2 set up proper case, how 2 this, how 2 dat.. lol.
1pm: on the bus, tried not 2 tink bout the debate. tries 2 zone out 2 pao’s n kok joo’s noise pollution. haha. (tho their convo successfully 50% took my mind off the finals)

3pm: debate started. hahah.. as i related earlier how ‘good’ a debate it was. lol

4pm: debate OVER!!!!! WAAHHHHH!!!!! SOOOOO RELIEVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

damn happy after dat cz hahahhahahhahaha… well just felt so relieved n started cracking lame jokes. lol.

owh! met Dr. ai huey, the st. michael-ian at the la sallian convention in st. jo in 2006. cool! she’s not only a doctor, she’s a PRO-debator! WOW…. best speaker of dunno how many world class debates. wow wow wow… so proud… haha. din noe she was frm UKM.

- we FINAlly got our buddies (2nd yr seniors) who’ll pass us notes etc - extremely important… hehe.
- a fun nite! we had 2 sneak out of the hostel in jeans, change 2 formal at the dinner place, n then change back 2 jeans 2 return 2 hostel. sad case lol. had 2 disguise the event as "Prisca’s bday party". lol. (Prisca, a 2nd yr senior staying in the college) cz well at the college, any gathering of ONE race (u noe which..) secara beramai-ramai evokes suspicion n controversy etc etc etc…

basically dis is a crap post. hehhe

i am in IT application class.
it is a 3 hour long class.
we are split into groups of 5.
we are suppose 2 present how we use the internet 2 search for stuff (medicine related).

my formative assessment is dis fri morn.
acc 2 seniors, its the case of failing beramai-ramai. :S

while my study schedule looks impossible, tonite suddenly i have debate practice.

n i joined debate 4 fun.

the front rows are deserted cz ev1’s eyesight n hearing abilities are over-rated. sitting in front will cause severe eyesore n bursting of eardrums.

on monday, my roommate n i attended the English Speaking zone opening ceremony frm our rooms. (i will not elaborate to avoid fatal consequences frm snrs)

on tues, we went 2 eye on msia.

(whn ev1 was sweating n suffering frm the heat back in KTSN muahaha) the next morn me n jacq set out frm the hotel 2 look 4 the chow kit monorail. we jouneyed down the LONGgggg road frm the hotel. after 1 minute, we found ourselves at the main road. n the faculty was loomng large in front of us right opposite the road. ??!!!! n we woke up at 6.15am dat morn to make sure (we wont be late 4 lecture..) ??!!! LOL. st jo band din do well dat night, bt deep down we knew the band spirit stil rocks on!

my team against KTSN 1- kok joo, ping peng, then. we won bt it wasnt such a good debate (got scolded by seniors lol) n kok joo’s team reli put up a tough debate 4 us. they always hav killing mechanisms s gov.

on fri, i finally got 2 settle down n reli study… LOL

next fri is debate finals for VC cup in bangi (YIKES!!!) when there’s formative assessment in the morn s well. (DOUBLE YIKES) PANICKKK!!!! wahahah. lol.

frm the listing of my schedule here i noe, u noe, ev1 noes i hav 2 study 24-7 frm now. hehz.

tmr nite is juniors’ welcoming night. -juniors organise a dinner 4 seniors. (the irony of the title. lol) finally managed 2 collect 60 signatures frm seniors w lots of help frm Ee See n Lip Leong. wahahahah…. owe them 4 that. shud hav taken photos of the signature collecting sessions. lol.

after 2 wks slaving away iin debate practices n preparation….. VC cup is finally here!! hahahahha… just came back frm bangi campus whr we competed 2 get a place n finals.

my college, KTSN, sent 6 teams. such a funny, amusing, cute, interesting bunch of ppl. lol ok nvm sounds like puppets.

sumhow it’s all ‘over’ bt the feeling seems a bit overwhelming. its like relief that its over, bt a part of me feels like, man…. its over?? reli enjoyed all the debate practices, time spent w the debaters, an amazingly fun bunch of ppl, whom i feel at home with! its felt like i was back in kch all over again w the form 6 buddies, lafing at crappy stuff n poking fun at each other.
initially the reason i actually joined debate was to find more ppl 2 speak eng w lol. me, mar-jie, wye li (pn. lye’s niece-how cool is dat! hahah) n jacq. haha. so we went 4 the 1st meeting, n BOOM. ev1 was speaking eng dat it felt so at home. like i was back in st jo or sth. n gosh the seniors, did a mock debate 4 us, it was considered a ‘lousy’ debate by them n i was tinkng, if dat is ‘lousy’ wad is GOOD. lol. damn fluent n the flow of ideas was like nvrending n the analysis of case damn good!! woah. (sound like sum sakai girl frm kpg i noe lol)

n our beloved trainers: lee fang (who’s same age as me but has 10 times more maturity in mentality haha compared 2 me) n cher linn (our super passionate super senior aka ka che) n summore seniors: wen nee (very happy looking senior lol), prisca (exotic looking chinese portugese), nina (has multiple ear piercings n a damn cool hair cut wow), n summore seniors hehe whom among them bought us Dunkin Donuts etc. thus the sheer joy of being a junior debater…. whr seniors buy food 4 u or bring u 2 mamak stalls.

reli enjoyed myself in the 1 night stay in bangi.. haha! the preparations were mentally exhausting but nvrtheless… enjoyable! hahaha.. now dat its ‘over’ i can say so lol. the results: KTSN 3 (my team) vs. KTSN 6 in the UKM Vice chansellor’s CUP! YAYYY!!!! hahahaaah… a KTSN final!!! win or lose, KTSN brings home the trophy. hahaha… if there IS a trophy lol. wil put up photos asap.

now dat debate’s ‘over’ (actually not over cz the finals r on 8/8 - 2 wks time. which clashes wif my formative assessment meaning i most prob hav 2 take it earlier )crap….)) i hav 2 START STUDYING!!!! *groans* hav bn ‘neglecting’ studies since debate practice started… crap. the lecturer teaches wad i nid 2 study in 3 days in 1 hour. ouch. n since there’re basically 2 lectures per day on average, i hav accumulated 10 hours worth of lectures 2 revise on n MAKE notes. *groans…*

its 7pm n more n more ppl r coming. jacq just appeared in front of me.

i generally feel a lot, a LOT better compared 2 last wk.

the must-have-clique thingy has finally worn off. cz well basically i was sick of getting 2 noe new ppl while running in baju kurung 2 buses n lining up 2 by 2. LOL. i was worried i din hav the clique n would turn out 2 be the-girl-with-no-frens. i was worried of having 2 be on my own. i was worried of the lonesomeness etc.
welll……. after having getting 2 noe more ppl, having a great roommie, n yeah, well, more things 2 keep me occupied so i hav no free time 2 think-too-much (haha), NO MORE worries of this sort. hahhha… after all life in uni is a pretty independent thing. u hav frens, u hav cliques, there’s no point being sum1 u’re not, n u basically lead an independent life. am i making sense. haha. just feel reli relieved i guess. i tink ppd camp helped. sort of i tink. heh.

life is blissful at the moment. heheh.

i would love 2 meet up w old frens in kl, tho currently time is a factor. guess i just nid 2 settle down longer 1st. n whn teng said settle down till end of july few wks ago, i was lafing my head off, only now 2 realise, it’s kinda nearly end of the month in 2 wks time. hahhha. look who’s talking…

after 2 wks of internet deprivation, yes! literally! i am ONLINE!!!!!! WHEEEEE!!!! hahahahaahaahhaaha… *beaming in sheer ecstatic joy* LOL.

a review of events for the past 2 wks. ahaha.

basically the day i left, (b4 that sent jacq off, sent crys off, went fishing, etc haha. miss those moments..) i got punked by 2 individuals. 1 expected, 1 unexpected. LOL. n they came lafing at me whn i entered the airport doors. LOL. audrey n johnson were there too, reli appreciate u all sending me off! haha! the tot of it seems so far now. (wait, correct meaning onot. LOL)

after that, me n pauline embarked on a 1hour 40 mins plane ride 2 lcct, where my luggage got LOSt (??!!!) in the end, found my bag (was wondering how an 18kg bag could get lost. was on the verge of panicking… lol) on the next flight, whr we met eddie. hahah. was he surprised 2 see us waiting 4 luggage from HIs flight lol. then met jacq who came 2 lcct with her dad n bro w 50kg luggage! hahahhahh… kidding kidding. the night was indeed a MEMORABLE 1. LOL. jacq n i (thank God same college) slept in a keyless room (we used our 50kg luggage 2 block the door.) that had doorless cupboards n at 1am, sum1 was banging on the door trying 2 get in. LOL.

anw registered next morn (lugging luggage ard again) n settled down (so called) in bangi’s campus in a college called Kolej Keris Mas. (pauline’s college is called Ibu Zain. dun ask y….) basically the next few days were spent listening 2 talks, seminars, speeches, bla bla u name it wadever u call it ahah in the DECTAR (the hall they use 4 convo) wearing blue baju kurung. hahaah.. the result of an average of 3-4 hrs of sleep a day during dat week. :

spot the 2 guys in front sleeping on each other’s shoulders. awww…. (lol)

the blue scarf is free. hahahah.. non muslims wear it as selendang. guys get a free tie.

its a rat race of running 2 catch buses in baju kurung n formal shoes everyday, (we got 2 fight w other colleges 4 buses back 2 our repective colleges frm the DECTAR). yeah…. u get the idea.

i mean, yeah, i understand the rationale of all the running, just found the idea pretty amusing…. feel like primary sch kids lining up in pairs getting on the bus n RUNNINGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! grins.

after that we moved 2 kl campus, escorted by POLICE… yer…. lol. more than 10 buses in all. cool…. (ok mb not dat cool. lol)

ok getting lazy 2 elaborate in detail now. lol. after settling down in kl campus (for 4 days), off 2 camp! in perak for the next 4 days. dun ask how it felt pacing 2 go 2 camp whn u’re oredi in 1. lol.

but i reli enjoyed perak camp!!!

got 2 bond w my PBL (problem based learning) grp, n we got reli cool facilitators (real doctors n staff hehe.our lecturers 2 be ) who sat down w us n just talked 2 us like frens. heh heh. my PBL group is called BELAcAN. grins.

we consist of, me (lol), yi lian (johor), sze ying (uh oh 4got frm whr), dilah ( who has chinese ancestry history. ), zatil, anis, nabilah, wei jie (johor), kevin (chinese punjabi. -roshan u found a mate. hahha), rooveen (penang) jimmy (kelantan).

very happy w my PBL group.

now that i’m back in kl again….. its back 2 studying, reallll studyng.. gosh. i hav 4gotten HOW 2 study after the 6/7 months of not studying.. lol.

minus the curry/chili for every meal everyday for the past 2 weeks, n having the last room on 4th floor, n having 2 wear track pants everytime i leave my block (nvr in my lilfe in kch i hav worn TRACK PANTS out ok..) life is stil pretty good. haha. trying out 4 debate. c if it works out in my schedule. wan2 try new things yet not kill myself lol. touched a cadaver today. though it was already readily sutured n all dat, but was a good experience. lab work tmr! reli reli got 2 go now. sigh. so excited whn i found out i can go on9 at hte kafeteria (which is whr i am now at this time)- which is whr i’m not suppose 2 be at this time cz hav 2 wake up at 6.30am 2 catch bus tmr…. lol. at least my internet deprivation ended today. tho time is stil stil insufficient!! n hav so much more 2 say.. haha..
